The Street Media Model is a community initiative designed to concurrently help councils raise money and local business’s market themselves.

The concept is to open up Council owned media sites to include ambient assets, for example street banners on lamp columns and virtual and print assets to local business.

The model lays out the benefits for business as well as demonstrating the revenue stream for councils.

The media opportunity for business is to place their logo on the council banners as part of an integrated media plan. The model demonstrates how a brand awareness exercise can directly result in new customers for business.

Our aim as always is to improve the urban environment so this is not advertising. The design of the banner is crucial and the space for a company logo is limited to 25% of the banner.

The model has been used successfully over two years, to date raising over 100k for councils.

Smart City Dressing has an in house sales teams to manage the local business sales, working closely with councils to derive the maximum benefit for both parties.

We also project manage the installation and removal of all media and banners as well as negotiating planning and related media.
